or "Rummelchen" on tour!!!
But now to my story, which is almost as nice as our Christmas – fairy tale 2006. After a long time of waiting there’ll be a new Anastacia album in October and before that there’ll be a single and a promo tour. And because of the Fanclub’s wonderful contacts we got to know exactly where that would take place: This afternoon Anastacia had an interview with "Bayern 3" (my new favourite radio station!!!). So I spontaneously took a day off, made an appointment with Babs and drove with the car and alone (for Sabine and Simone who travelled with me the last times it has been too spontaneous) to Munich.
I arrived there at exactly 10:30 am but couldn’t find a parking spot. After taking 3 unsuccessful rounds around the parking lot I ended up driving to the parking garage. There I met Christian (who was also wearing his red shirt) whom I already knew from Lisbon and together we were looking for Babs who was sitting in a café together with Angi.
The welcome was very sincere but they laughed about my huge shopping bag. They asked if I had moved out from home. But later when I took a world receiver out of my "I-got-everything-with-me-today-bag", they were highly impressed!
After a drink and an already overdue pee stop, we took a look at the buildings and looked for the entrance of the Bavarian radio. After we found it, Angie and 5 Italian girls joined us. Since we didn’t want to ambush Anastacia, we decided not to wait at the entrance, but on the other side of the street in a little park. There we waited about 3 hours until Bayern 3 – thanx to my world receiver - finally announced the interview to start in 30 minutes. Now that the final spurt was coming we became a little more excited and at the same time we were happy that we’ve only been 10 people because this amount of fans is easy to handle.
And then she finally arrived in a black Mercedes. Before Anastacia came out of the car, Wayne came to us telling us that they wouldn’t have much time before the interview but we should build a row because she’d come for a minute. So Anastacia came to us, and I liked that much more than to hassle her at the entrance. She was very sincere and talked a lot, some of us got autographs. She was very happy to see us and said that we were her first fan moment on this promo tour. But then the radio host (who also came across the street) asked her to come. But she promised to come back to us after the show. Totally thrilled we sat together around the world receiver to listen to the interview and the new single where we could already sing along. After that we had to wait another hour before Anastacia came out again (I suppose they recorded some more questions and jingles). Just as promised, Anastacia and Wayne came hand in hand out of the door and directly towards us. She even almost forgot to say bye to the radio host. Now everyone who wanted got autographs and photos. Babs took a back seat and recorded the whole thing. But then Anastacia went to her and greeted her with a pretty cool handshake and a kiss on the right and a kiss on the left – and since I was standing right next to them I got that, too!! She even looked at me as if she’d recognize me. Then Babs asked her if the tattoo on her back was real and she simply turned around and let Babs (and everyone else who was standing, there including me) have a look under her blouse on her back. Lo and behold – she really does have a new tattoo!!! She meant she had to do something new for us!
Then we took a group photo, and after what seemed to be 15 minutes (I don’t know how long it really was) she got pushed for departure. I think if she would have had a say, she would’ve stayed longer. After that we’ve been super-happy about our photos and autographs. And thanks to the hard drive in my wonder bag I could collect all the photos. It truly is something very special to meet this woman (particularly in such a small scale, and I was fortunate to experience that twice) because she is so extreme anti-star. You get the feeling to meet a person you don’t see very often but already knew forever and you can have great fun with her. She goes for it right away and sings and dances along. Very natural and just amazing!
