Concert in Azerbaijan was cancelled
The shortly, instead of Moskow added concert in Baku, Azerbaijan had to be cancelled as been told by the concert organiser "Tonica Production". Much Thanx to Lena for the translation. Contrary to different explanations which circulate the promoter of the concert has cancelled the show because of terrible ticket sales and economic reasons. Anastacia would have been devastated if these shows didn't happen even if only 10 people showed up but the decision is made by the promoter alone. At this point we can not verify the rumours that more concerts are concerned by that and we aren't able to find any evidence for that too.

Concert in Bucharest, Romania
The september leg of the tour, which will guide Anastacia again trough Europe for two weeks, started today with a concert in Bucharest, Romania. Like we learned to know some new surprised awaiting us. To already call one, the show will be opened now with 'The Way I See It' instead of 'One Day In Your Life'. A video of that has already appeared on YouTube. Check it out!

Heavy Rotation Tour 2009 - Esch, Luxemburg

Thursday, I got up pretty early as I had a lot of things to do before Meike, Betti and her husband Steffen were expected to arrive around noon. Shortly after 1 pm the doorbell rang and the three of them arrived within some minutes. I was delighted to welcome my girls in my home once more. It’s always nice to see each other again! We were chatting a little bit and finally made our way to the Rockhal.
We arrived about 3:30 pm. From a certain distance we recognized that there weren’t many people waiting, about 12 I guess. Tatjana came towards us, grinning, and welcomed us sweetly. I was happy to meet her again. Later we said hello to Melanie, Birgitt, Astrid, Chantal, Ron, Giulia, Annika, Franca and Suzanne. Most of them seemed to be at the venue since the early morning.
Now it was time that we had to wait too. We already knew that we were supposed to meet Ana but nothing really happened about this. So we remained waiting. In the meantime I already thought that we wouldn’t meet her tonight because slowly people started to gather and there was a long queue in front of the entrance. And we were still standing outside the venue.

The gates opened about 7 pm and people started running inside, suddenly we’ve been picked up by a security. Everything happened really fast from now on. Everyone got in the elevator and got out in the upper floor. Before we’ve been let in the room where Ana was waiting Simon told us that he was sorry because this was actually planned a bit differently. However, Anastacia had some appointments with the press before the Meet & Greet and now she was under great time pressure and so on.
He told us that we were allowed to see Ana but she wouldn’t have more time left than to say "Hi and Bye". He went on telling us that autographs, pictures and filming are not allowed. Okay then, we accepted the rules and he led us into the room. Well-behaved we walked one after another towards her. She was standing there and smiled from ear to ear when she saw us. The first thought that came to my mind was: oh my god, she is so tiny. For me it was a very special and intense moment to be so close to her. It was amazing but pretty surreal at the same time, at least for me.
Shawn repeated what Simon told us outside, Ana was just standing there and listened. But we all know her, she couldn’t help herself and took enough time for us. Thank God she couldn’t just leave us with the "Hi & Bye" thing. One after another the fans started talking to her and finally it was my turn.
Actually people are supposed to get nervous in this very moment or are unable to find the right words. As for me, it was totally different, because it is really easy to start a conversation with Ana and she makes you feel like you’ve known her for years already. That’s how it felt for me.
When I introduced myself I was really surprised and speechless because she knew who I was. This was owed to Meike’s letter she gave her at the Meet & Greet in Hamburg. She already knew that I couldn’t attend the Dusseldorf concert because of certain reasons and she said she was really excited for me, Betti and Meike that we managed to go to a concert together.
After that I had the chance to tell her some things that lied at my heart. She gave me a bear hug and I couldn’t help myself but I was giving her a big kiss on the cheek. I don’t know but I was overwhelmed. She had a big, fat grin on her face.
What I have to give Anastacia credit for is that, no matter how hard the time pressure might be, she never lets her fans recognize that. She really meets a lot of people during her tour, has to do a lot of interviews and gets asked the same questions over and over again and so on but she always has a smile and some nice words ready for her fans. We can really feel blessed that she is such a lovely person.
And that she was when Giulia, a nice Italian girl, came to her. She couldn’t speak English very well and Meike tried to help her and translated what she had to say. She said that Giulia lost her mother 3 months ago due to cancer. Ana found words of consolation at once. I was deeply impressed.
It was so emotional. I think most of us had a lump in their throats. It was really a moving moment and I was deeply touched. Later during the concert, she dedicated "I Belong To You" to Giulia. You could clearly recognize that Anastacia was very emotional at times while performing the song.
We were allowed to make one group picture before the meeting was over. I think every single one of us was on cloud number 9 when we entered the lift again.
Back in the venue we found a nice place for us all and the support act was on. First a magician started and got Chantal from Holland up on stage. After that Alain Mertens rocked the stage, a Luxembourgian singer. I liked it as I am a Luxembourgian too. At the end there was a singer performing a song of Whitney Houston. She had an amazing voice but I forgot the name. Finally an only 12 year old boy who was the winner of the competition "Wenn Du Etwas Kannst" had a powerful performance.
That was all pretty nice but most of us were still waiting for Anastacia. And shortly after 9 pm the show began. She started with "The Way I See It" and concert ran its course with little changes. Ana was in a good mood and talked a lot to the audience. I really like this about her, I could go on for hours listening to her doing her little jokes.
In the end she brought a man on stage again to dance with her which was quite funny. At some time there was a guy screaming he would like to kiss her. She told him to come to the stage and within a second he was there. Once again Ana could make someone really happy with hugging and kissing him and he almost didn’t let go off her anymore. Such things make her even more likeable.
Ana said that she was surprised that Luxembourg was full of nature. She described it like: Tree...Tree...Tree....House....Tree...Tree...Tree.... House... She expected more skyscrapers! But we don’t have that at all in Luxembourg. Furthermore she told us that it was so nice her that she considered to come back and spend her holidays in this country! Well … go ahead! I was happy when she guaranteed she would come back. I hope it won’t take her too long because when she will do another concert here I’ll be for sure the first one to get a ticket!!!
I thought this was the best concert I’ve ever seen of her, by the way. It doesn’t matter that she left the high notes to the background singers during certain songs. It was not only me who was amazed because the Luxembourgian audience rocked the venue. And you could see that Ana had lots of fun on stage.  When the crowd started singing along with her she was happy every time they did it. She totally had a handle on the audience and every Luxembourgian was happy when she said "You guys in Luxembourg, you roooooock".
As always the concert went by way too fast. Half deaf we left the venue, got something to drink and sat down on the stairs. Standing for a couple of hours got me really exhausted. After that the three of us went home and talked into the night, needless to say that none of us could sleep because we’ve been still in high spirits.
The day after, my girls left me because Betti and her hubby made their way to spent their holidays in the South of France and Meike had a long way to drive by car. She went all the way down to Babs to go by a luxury bus with a whole bunch of people to the concerts in Bratislava and Budapest. I will never forget the meeting and this concert and I’ll keep on remembering this having a big grin on my face.

The Beat the Street Tour is about to start

After a working day I made my way to the Innsbruck rail station to pick up Steffi, Sandra, Nati and Nina. This was our big day. Around midnight we were supposed to set of in the lent Beat the Street bus to go on tour for the last time this year. Somehow no one could believe that the crazy idea about the bus became reality. We’ve really done it and we were lucky enough to get the exact same bus that Anastacia has had 4 years ago. And who was our driver? It’s Chris who drove Ana across Europe. Everything matched, it was her bus and driver. This time we really travelled like Anastacia herself!
Back to the train station, untypically for "Die Bahn" everyone arrived just in time and we went back home. Meike and Andrea, who came by car, have already been waiting. We decided to go out for dinner before the "big black car" was about to arrive!
Full and satisfied we were waiting in the living room, chatting and looking through the door of the balcony in direction of the parking lot.
Around 11:30 pm I looked out the window and simply said: "Guys there is a huge black car parking!" Everyone stormed to the door and saw the bus. It really looked impressive, in the dark with all the lights. We grabbed our bags and went outside to the bus. Chris came out to welcome us. We loaded in the food and drinks we’ve bought but Chris told us he already went shopping grocer too. Well at least we would have enough to eat and drink and we filled the cooling boxes in the bus kitchen. Now it was time to set off. Let’s beat the street!!!
We drove on the interstate to Salzburg and chilled in the bus, everybody was searching for a bunk. Dagi and me took the "presidential suite" upstairs in the back of the bus. A bedroom with LCD-TV, DVD-Player and Playstation is the bomb! Downstairs there has been enough technology too, a TV for the playstation, another TV for the DVD-Player that we tested at once and played the Live At Last DVD. We were sitting there all cozy and enjoyed our luxurious bus and had a drink! I went to Chris to name him the turn off where we had to pick up Maria. I was sitting with him for 45 minutes and we had a nice conversation. He is a really nice guy!
In Steyrermühl Maria entered the bus around 2:30 am and she was all excited about it. Because everyone was really tired we soon went to bed. The next station was the airport in Vienna to pick up Marli and Yanna, I set the alarm because I had to get up early.

Heavy Rotation Tour 2009 - Bratislava, Slovakia

The day should start around 2: am in the morning. After 4 hours of sleep me and a friend got out of the bed, got refreshed a bit and made our way to the airport in Berlin. We arrived at 5:15 am and after a little bit hectic search for the right gate I entered the plane pretty soon and was off to Vienna. The flight lasted one hour and I met Yanna which just landed too. Meanwhile Babs, Dagi, Maria, Nati, Nina, Steffi, Andrea, Sandra and Corxy have entered the bus already and had a 6 hours trip to Vienna. Just like a VIP Babs was waiting for us to guide us to our luxury ride. The bus was already monumental from the outside but looking at the interior my jaw dropped.  The"‘best of all besteses" was waiting for us. The ride continued with coffee, breakfast and Live At Last.
On our way to Bratislava the people that have been on the bus since Innsbruck got up slowly and went out of the bunks. We stopped at the airport in Bratislava to pick up the three dutchies! They were astonished when the bus drove towards them. Next to them there have been 3 people who seemed to be wondering if this were celebrities or not. They followed our arrival pretty accurate. Around 11:00 am we arrived at the venue and have been the first there at all. Despite roomily barriers for a football game we could park in front of the hall. The securities saw the bus and let us in at once.
We looked around a bit, made some group pictures and parked the bus a bit further away. After that we placed ourselves in front of the venue. After a couple of hours the first Italian fans arrived followed be the Czech/Slovakian fanclub. More or less comfortable we sat in front of the doors which seemed to be the entrance later. During the waiting time we ate McDonalds food, sandwiches and fries. The entrance was supposed to start at 6:00 pm but around 4:00 pm the local security built up entrance barriers. The undertaking was a bit brutal and we could not talk to them as they didn’t speak English at all. This led to people being in the back that have been in the front before the whole move. Until the final entrance at 6:30 pm people started jostling whereas I think people in the front should have been allowed to remain at the entrance locks. I was wondering: "Why can’t we all just get along?"
Unfortunately the security was more of a barrier than it was supposed to be. Partly they took away the onlinetickets so that it was very difficult for some of us to enter the security in the internal space and to be let into the area in front of the stage. Despite the complications the first two rows started to fill with members of the fanclubs and other well-known faces. At 7:00 pm the support act "Popcorn Drama", who some of us knew from Prague already, hit the stage.
On time at 8:00 pm Anastacia came onstage with the new opening song "The Way I See It" and sang "One Day In Your Life" as the second song of the evening. Right after that song it rained presents for her. When she bent down to pick them up she was very revealing! Among other she received mini mouse ears which she put on. She continued with "Same Song" … but how did the song go? Well Ana, if you forget the lyrics you should at least be able to read lips, but she really tried and focussed on our lips!
When it was about time that the fans sing the song we decided to make it a bit longer. Anastacia already wanted to say thank you but we kept on going for another 3 rounds. She was standing there, taking her in-ear off to hear us a bit better. Then she bashed the microphone against her head and fell down like a bag. She was sitting in front of us with a big grin, was very emotional and told us that her fans always know how to surprise her. Afterwards she bewitched us with "Thought I Told You That" and Elizabeth had astonishing solo parts. This was followed by "You’ll Never Be Alone", this time on a different barstool. And "Cowboys And Kisses" was performed without Tom in the bathtub from now on. During "Why’d You Lie To Me" the band members got the chance to introduce themselves musically and Orefo played some tones of "Billie Jean" to pay tribute to Michael Jackson. The crowd was amazed.
For the freaky dance she picked Peter to come on stage who could follow her easily as he had some dance experiences. When she gave him the signed tourbook she told us that there was no merchandise that you could by at the venue but you could order in the online shop. She left no one without tears when she performed "In Your Eyes" later. It is unbelievable how emotionally she interprets the song. When she sang "Pieces Of A Dream" she changed the lyrics from time to time – why oh why?! After that we convinced her that we are not yet "Sick And Tired". But this time she didn’t go on with "I Belong To You" immediately but Marcus the keyboarder gave her a few intro notes and she invented some words to thank her fans.
Afterwards she belt out that half-italian ballade with Maria. "Beautiful Messed Up World" and "I Can Feel You" have been crossed out the setlist but the show ended like usual with "Heavy Rotation", "I’m Outta Love" and "Left Outside Alone (Remix)" which had the crowd dancing and jumping.
When we came out of the venue we didn’t sweat less than Anastacia herself. We sat down in the café on the other side of the hall. After we have chatted about the concert we were forced to say Goodbye to some of the fans that would not join us for the next day’s concert.
Finally we went to the bus. A few fans joined us because they wanted to see the bus and get a little guide and then we hit off to Budapest. Babs announced that we were invited to come backstage before the concert the next day – who was supposed to be able to sleep now? However, most of us went to bed happy and satisfied and because the bus’ light swinging everyone was in dreamland real soon!

Heavy Rotation Tour 2009 - Budapest, Hungary

When we got up we were standing in front of the Budapest venue already. The weather was fantastic and after we all refreshed us in the bus or in the restrooms of the venue we decided to have our breakfast outside in the sun. The dutchies decided to check in to the hotel. We loitered away the time by walking through the district of Budapest in which we were. After having some sandwiches for lunch we went to the hotel of the dutchies and had some coffee.
We laughed a lot and made lots of pictures to keep the moments. When we arrived at the bus later, people gathered from time to time expecting Anastacia to come out of the bus every moment! Before we were supposed to have our Meet & Greet we gathered in front of the venue and sang Happy Birthday to Anastacia and added a powerful "somedaaaayyyy, ayeee aaaayayayy.. aaayeee aaayy yayayy..oohh oooohhh....". Around 5:00 pm we went to the backstage entrance. Besides us the Italians and a group of Germans would also have a Meet & Greet. We have been 31 people and Anastacia had around 30 minutes for us. The head of security Simon came to us and told us not to ask her to long questions because we all knew how she is. So we finally went inside and Shawn came to us.
When Ana came she took enough time for every single one of us and had a little chat despite the pressure of time. She was funny, lovely and in a good mood – as always. Most of us had birthday presents for her and she also got a nice memory of the tour from Babs and Dagi. Afterwards she told us a bit about her plans for the future and Simon walked us into the first row.
When the instruments were brought on stage we recognized that we would have two support acts tonight. At 7:30 pm "Popcorn Drama" entered the stage and had the same program as the night before but in English this time. At 8:00 pm Noémi Virág came on stage. Her songs weren’t bad but we could not understand the lyrics. She told us that Anastacia is her idol and she already had the chance to talk to her backstage.
About 9:15 pm Anastacia started with "The Way I See It". You could recognize that the audience in Bratislava was the better one but the Fanily sprocked the concert anyway. We decided to do something special for "You’ll Never Be Alone" because this would be the last concert for almost the whole fanily. Chantal had a friend who got papers in a print store saying "Thank You", "Great Memories" and "No End". Before the actual concert started the papers were spread among the audience.
In the first rows everyone was holding the sheets up but there was a lack in the back. But I think Anastacia did get the message. Already before she started the song she told us that she knew this was the last concert for most of us. Later she told the sitting audience to stand up and dance otherwise they would remain being starred at. A little later Anastacia gave her background girls the chance to sing a blues about their stolen laptops and cameras. She told us that these are however just material things and you should not be too upset about it because health is the most important thing.

When it came to the Freaky Dance once more she picked up to guys. The first one was Mario from Florida and because she was a bit disappointed that he wasn’t from Budapest she picked up the Hungarian Zsolt. She asked us if we would prefer a single dance with every man or an American-Hungarian-Sandwich. With a sexy orange feather boa she started moving her hips with each of the guys. After the dance both went of stage, happy with their signed tourbooks.
Before she was about to start "In Your Eyes" she informed us that she always tries to look in as many eyes as possible when singing it. And she indeed tried to look in all eyes of the first and second row. The setlist remained the same and with the last few songs she had everyone dancing again. But despite that this have been fast party songs we all had wet eyes because we knew our very last concert of tour was about to end.
After she left the stage we all left the venue with more or less confused and sad faces. That was it? We gathered at the bus. Some of us wanted to be left alone to realize the happenings others hugged each other crying. A little later Tom, Hannah, Dave and Marcus from the band came and partied in and next to the bus with us. Later they said Goodbye and went back to the hotel which was the same as the Italians and Dutchies had.
We got into the bus and started our trip home. The people that would drive til Innsbruck went to bed. Only "Babi" and "Dags" as well as Steffi stayed awake. For Yanna, me and Rummelchen it was not worth to lie down and sleep because we would leave the bus at around 3:30 am at the Vienna airport. We tried to rest a bit and recalled the evening. Just in time at half past three we left the bus at the airport where Andrea, Yanna and me would leave via plane in a couple of hours.

Back home

After we left the three girls at the airport, Steffi, Dagi and me went to bed too! The bus was supposed to rock us to sleep a very last time. However I had set the alarm because we had to drop off Maria in some hours. Around 5:30 am she left us.
We went on in the direction of Wattens. I could not really go on sleeping and so I enjoyed the bus and was able to see a wonderful sunrise. Around 7:30 everybody got up and we enjoyed a last breakfast in the bus. Surely everyone was sad that another tour ended.
You wait for it for such a long time and it goes by so fast. We distracted ourselves with cleaning and tidying the bus. Around 10:00 am we were back home, got our stuff out of the bus although there was nothing much left. Our shopping for this trip was perfectly planned. We said Goodbye to Chris who brought us to our directions and back just perfectly. Thank you very much for this. And we had a last glimpse of the bus!!!
Now we all had to say Goodbye to each other, which gets more and more emotional every time! At this point I want to thank the whole bus-crew because I think it’s very rare to travel with 15 people (14 girls, 1 guy) in such a confined space without any arguments. The whole journey was a dream and should be repeated!!! THANK YOU!!!

News from Budapest
We just got back from our last tour. Be curious about the pictures, videos and diaries that will be on here in a couple of days. A part of the AFC travelled in a very special way this time - we rent the old "Beat the Street" Tour Bus from Anastacia.
But we also brought some news. Before the show started we were invited to go backstage, could say hello and got to know some news. As already announced there will be a new project together with 2 artists and this is gonna start in November 21st until December 21st in the UK. You will get to know more details real soon, probably on her birthday. Anastacia wasn't allowed to say more, but she wanted us to know that we are gonna see each other again before christmas.
Besides she is gonna be at "Art on Ice" next year and probably some other things like that. And she is going to start working on a new album. So we all can look forward to an exciting year with Anastacia!!!

Duet with Ben's Brother
Under the pledge of secrecy we were told last week that Anastacia will release a duet as new single and today it was finally announced. The song is called 'Stalemate', by a british band called 'Ben's Brother' and will be released on October 26th. The song was written by Jamie Hartman and Camilla Boler and was taken from their second album 'Battling Giants'. Anastacia about the song: “I loved the song the moment I heard it and have been thrilled to add my vocals and have the opportunity to work with Jamie." Jamie Hartman about the collaboration: “Anastacia is an amazing singer and a great performer - it was a total pleasure working with her and I'm looking forward to performing with her live!”

Strangely enough the band seems to already record that song with Joss Stone previously - available to hear here.

Neuer Blog - THANK YOU!
Hi Fan-ily.....

This is a very overdue message!!!! We purchased a new flip video after a very generous fan gave us a beautiful camcorder to use which unfortunately was not Mac friendly...Now we have a minor challenge with the Flip as it requires some upgraded downloads sooooo my desire to have tons of videos for you this week has not been able to happen....I do have two small videos of me,Chaka ans Lulu on our first day of press last Tuesday...

I wanted to express, even though there aren't enough words to say how amazing the tour was for me!!!! I enjoyed every single second of the tour!!! I love playing smaller venues because it made me feel closer to each and everyone of you!!! The many fans who came to a large number of shows and that I would see so often in the front row, I thank you for your generosity!!! I knoe this is a tough time economically for all of us and I don't take it for granted the sacrifices many of you made to come to one show let alone multiple ones!!!

I missed performing and I deeply grateful for the loyalty you guys showed in the large gap in between tours!!! I have so many beautiful letters I've been reading over the past week, some beautiful framed pictures that await me back in LA and special gifts that overwhelm me and make my heart so full of love for each and everyone of you!!!!

As you all know, I am doing a concert/cabaret show with the amazing Chaka Khan and Lulu!!!! I am so excited!!!! To be able to stand on stage for a total of 20 shows with these to amazing icons of musical history is such an honor......We are all very excited to be singing cover songs that each of us have secretly longed to be able to sing......This show will be an amazing, fun party like atmosphere!!! We want everyone standing, dancing and singing along!!! We are sure to make you laugh lots and may even draw a tear or two......I hear that ticket sales are going fast so the tour may be sold out by mid week....

I promise you some video blogs once we can solve our technical challenges!!!!!!!
Peace to you all and see you on the road soon!!!
